Lynch's black & white rough does not provide color guidance, but the style of the package in his sketch is modeled on the standard blue Chips Ahoy! bag. Pound uses acrylic gouache paint on heavier card stock to complete his final paintings. The Topps Vault sold the finished art for "Chimps Ahoy!" for $2100.00 in an eBay auction which ran from June 26 to July 6, 2004. (thumbnail links to wackypackages.org) |
