Rough Concept Drawing
Jay Lynch's concept for the Nathan's Famous hot dogs parody survived the translation to finished art largely intact; only small differences are noticeable between the rough drawing and the finished painting. Lynch's rough rendered the product as "Nothin's Faded," and includes the legend "Since When?" in the logo. (The thumbnail above links to a scan of the rough at wackypackages.org) |
Final Painting
The title evolved to "Nothin's Infamous" by the time of the final painting, and a sunburst was added to the upper right of the package which reads "New! 50% Bigger Nothin's" (The W in "New" appears to be an inverted M). The Topps Vault sold the finished art for "Nothin's" for $1051.00 in an eBay auction which ran from October 9-16, 2005. |
