The Annotated Wacky Packages All-New Series 2
Base Set Cards
Rough Concept Drawing
While Neil Camera was working on the final painting based on this rough, Hershey's changed their Kisses bag design.
The Topps Vault sold the rough art for "Hurtsey's" for $194.50 in an eBay auction which ran from September 11 - 18, 2005.
Camera nearly completed his painted version of "Hurtsey's" before it was realized that the Hershey's Kisses packaging had changed. It then fell to Jay Lynch to complete a new version of the concept.
The Topps Vault sold the abandoned "Hurtsey's" painting for $1,525.89 in an eBay auction which ran from December 1 - 8, 2005.
Lynch altered the composition of "Hurtsey's" to reflect the new Kisses packaging.
While Jay Lynch has been involved in the production of Wacky Packages since their inception, his contribution had largely been in designing titles for others to paint prior to this piece.
The Topps Vault sold the finished art for "Hurtsey's" for $3501.00 in an eBay auction which ran from September 27 - October 4, 2005.
Card Front & Back
"Ick.com," a spoof of the Nick.com (Nickelodeon) web site, is found on the back of "Hurtsey's."
Unused ANS2 Concept:
"Kiss of Death"
David Gross developed this Hershey's Kiss parody concept independently of "Hurtsey's"; it was not accepted for ANS2.
